October 2015 of IschiaNews&Eventi
Year 6, Issue 6
There was a question that intrigued me until some time ago: what is the color to match to October? The season is now the kingdom of autumn and, therefore, the rest of the life cycles. Maybe. Observing the insular nature, the wait declination of variations of brown, ocher and yellow leaves of vineyards and chestnut trees does not replace the shade of evergreen conifers, citrus orchards and gardens that depict the imagination. The color certainty of school drawings and poets, here gives way before the majestic complexity of the context. Moreover, the summer has not yet finished, the persuasive and “martial” climate of October described by Graziano Petrucci, is still welcoming to the warm echoes of summer nights with their wealth of nostalgia. To remember it, there is a nice gift for our magazine: a story by Toni Iavarone, appreciated and well-known sports journalist with the talent of the narrator, who is inspired by the intensity of amorous encounters and powerful sensations in Ischia. Would be the fiery red the right shade of these days? It could be. There are two events scheduled to open wide the most truth: the Apnea World Championship and Ischia Biodiving weekend. They remind me that I forgot the paradigm that envelops everything: the blue of the deep sea. Here it is, then, the perfect pigment: they invites us to explore, how Pietro Sorvino and Bruno Iacono explain, two great masters of submerged Eden, the secrets of the Tyrrhenian fluid, which includes the island. Among the mysteries and silences, the same ones that, on the surface, below the blue of the sky, Michelangelo Di Maio is looking for: he that runs between the beauty of our streets telling us what happiness is.
