Ischia News ed Eventi, promotes a special on the Towers of Forio, dedicated to the event "Celebrating towers” and "Towers of Light", promoted by the Superintendence for the architectural, artistic and ethno-anthropological historical landscape of Naples and province, the Regional Directorate for cultural heritage and the town of Forio, which will take place from June 24 to July 1, and has as its protagonists the "forian Towers", which in the sixteenth century formed the defensive, sighting and communication system along the western coastline of the island. Giovanni Maltese, the artist who lived in the Tower, the Quattrocchi Tower, the Torone, the Constantina Tower, the Milone Tower, the Tower of Vico Schiano, the Tower of Nacera, the Tower of Baiola and the Tower of Casa Patalano, are key topics covered in this special issue with a nice gallery of photos of the famous photographer Vittorio Sciosia.
